Dear Friends,
    As you know I am part of the Green Ribbon Campaign (now renamed to
Traditions & Green Ribbons). Our purpose is to "stop the abuse of our
truck drivers".
    Traditions was founded by a group of trucker's family members, in
an  effort to make the general public more aware of some of the issues
 that truckers are faced with in the course of carrying out their job.
    In the coming months, you will begin to notice Green Ribbons 
appearing on antennas, car doors, etc.  These ribbons represent a
national "Stop the Abuse Against Truckers" campaign.  The goal of
these ribbons is to start people asking questions.  It is the hope of
"Traditions & Green  Ribbons" that the public will stop to talk to a
trucker, and maybe get  a better idea of what that trucker is faced
with out there on the road.
    Meanwhile, in order for our concerns to really be heard we need to
 speak out! The "Traditions & Green Ribbons" founder needs to prove 
support and team efforts in order to become a non-profit organization.
Simply put...she needs letters from EVERYONE of us that stand behind 
our campaign and what we do and represent.
   The letters need to also state WHY you stand behind this campaign.
Now is the time to put in writing some of the problems you / your
spouse / your friend etc.
have encountered just by being in the trucking industry. It has to be
PROVEN that there is a NEED for changes and education within and
outside of our industry.
    Please make sure that everything you put into writing is
acceptable  for all to view. We all know how hard it is to get help
from the government and how many hands papers / forms travel through
before the  end of the process. So take in consideration that many
people will see what you have written and keep it "clean".
    You may type and print the letter our on your computer but it must
be hand signed and snail mailed to

concerns down on paper.
